At the World Summit on Leaving No One Behind you have the opportunity each year to meet face-to-face with researchers and experts, representatives from governmental agencies and NGOs, funding organisations and supporters to discuss how we use innovative technical and governance-related ideas to make powerful progress against the world’s most pressing challenges in ensuring no one is left behind regarding water and sanitation. The themes this year are Women, Children, Refugees and Migrants, Rural Areas, Indigenous Peoples and Climate Change. Participants requiring a visa for entry to Switzerland are strongly advised to make their application in their home country at least two months before the intended date of travel.
Please contact your nearest Swiss/Schengen Embassy, Consulate or your Travel agency for more information. If you are not flying directly to Switzerland please note that a transit visa might be needed for some countries in order to be able to continue your travel to Switzerland.
If a letter of invitation is needed for the visa application, the Organisers of the Summit can send this upon request after you have registered for the World Summit on Leaving No One Behind and your registration has been confirmed.
The letter of invitation does not represent a commitment on the part of the Organisers to provide financial support.

Travel to Geneva by train
Trains arrive at Gare Cornavin in central Geneva.
Public transport to WIPO Conference Centre
There are several bus and tram connections serving stops near the Summit venue, WIPO Conference Centre.

- Bus 5 (stop Vermont or Intercontinental)
- Tram 15 (stop Nations)

Travel from Geneva Airport to Gare Cornavin
From Geneva Airport there are bus (line 5 and 10) and train connections to Gare Cornavin. The journey by train takes 8 minutes, and the journey by bus 25 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at the train and bus station and air travelers can collect a free ticket near baggage claim at the airport. Trips to and from Geneva airport should cost approximately CHF 35 to 45 each way. The trip takes about 15 minutes.
