Water and Human Rights
WaterLex was invited by the National Human Rights Institution (NHRI) in Mexico to write a short publication on the meaning of the human rights to water and sanitation, and how it has been adopted in the Mexican context. This easy-to-read summary provides an introduction for the ordinary person to understand what it means for themselves, and provides an interesting read for anyone seeking an introduction into the current situation in Mexico. The NHRI in Mexico is making a strong effort to raise awareness of people’s rights with respect to water and sanitation, and serves as an organisation that acts as a support to Mexican people that have issues with access, water quality, or affordability of these services.
