WaterLex Attended Swiss Water Partnership General Assembly
Executive Director, Jean-Benoit Charrin, and General Manager, Amanda Loeffen attended the Swiss Water Partnership General Assembly on 18 May 2016.
The SWP General Assembly focused on the building of a meaningful platform for all its partners, elections, and two topics: “Getting ready for action”, which highlighted two breakout sessions to identify and shape new SWP activities related to the UN-Water theme 2017 and to explore possibilities for SWP Consortium projects. A special topic included “Dispatch on Switzerland’s International Cooperation 2017 – 2020” by Odile Keller, Head of Division Analysis and Policy of SDC, who presented the orientation of the new dispatch and its implications for the water sector.
WaterLex is an active member of SWP and will be participating with them at Stockholm World Water Week 2016.

The SWP brings together relevant Swiss stakeholders active in the international water sector, with the aim to ensure that the members and their partners abroad contribute in a coordinated and effective way to promote: sustainable and equitable use of water resources; sustainable provision of universal access to drinking water and sanitation for all citizens; sustainable and equitable management of ecosystems, including water, food and energy production aspects; mitigation and adaptation to prevent natural hazards; Swiss knowhow and experiences in addressing the above-mentioned challenges.
